Last weekend was the first round of the League of Legends Super League. The new Brazilian league is organized by the Brazilian Association of Esports Clubs (ABCDE), along with ESL Brazil . The games started on day 4 (Saturday) and will go until December 23, being the grand finale. Of the teams that play CBLOL, only RED Canidswill not participate in the Super League since it is no longer part of the association. The tournament has two groups, in which games take place in sets of better than two, with all teams facing each other. The top two teams in each group advance to the knockout round with a best-of-five series. The tournament award will be funded by the public through donations by the Catarse and part of the fundraiser will go to the Recode charity.
Live Keyd VS Brave e-Sports
The opening match of the Superleague did not start in the best way. The game was stopped several times, standing still for 2 hours. After all the complications, the match was able to return. Brave focused a lot on the middle route, banning 3 champions. With that, the VK opted for a Le Blanc in the hands of Gabriel “Tockers “, who at the beginning of the game oppressed the team of Brave. With 20 minutes of play, the scoring was already seven to zero for Keyd, and a difference in gold over 8 thousand.
The aggressive composition of VK just not supporting the transition to a longer game, fights as a team always end up finishing best for the Brave, the front line with Cho ‘Gath and Gragas can hold a lot of damage in addition to the ultimates of the TARIC, leaving all of the team invulnerable. VK can not work the pickoffs on the map, and ends up losing the first match.
The second match starts very similar to the previous match. Brave’s team seemed lost, losing on all lanes. But the biggest difference was in the middle, not knowing how to deal with the Azir of the “Tockers”, which at the beginning of the game already had five abates. The snowball against Brave only grew, and by 20min Vivo Keyd had already destroyed an inhibitor. The Brave can not recover in the game, losing without even being able to knock down a tower of the VK.
Pain Gaming VS CNB eSports
The first game of the classic started very busy on the top route and the CNB team did not want to leave a quiet debut for “Takeshi”, who was the first to be shot down. This made it possible for the blumers to also get the first tower of the match, gaining advantage in gold. The CNB can not maintain this advantage for a long time and the composition does not have a good initiation, unlike Pain, which grows over time, controlling much better the fights due to the various group controls that its composition had.
Even with a good fight to protect your top route inhibitor, the CNB can not get back in the match, “pbO” gets caught in the middle route along with “Visdom”. So Pain makes the baron and the old dragon closing the match.
Seeking to overcome the problems of the first match, the CNB seeks to have more initiation and fight control, bringing Sejuani, Bardo and Ornn. Even while working better on the draft, the CNB is very pressured on the routes, so the Pain hunter can guarantee a lot of advanced vision. In contrast, “Yampi” can not fit his Sejuani well, with many ambushes frustrated. Pain is able to kill and the first tower, opening the advantage well against the blumers . With a much more controlled game, Pain Gaming wins and convinces the classic.
After the first day, the group A table ended like this:
Tshow VS Kabum
With a much more defensive draft, Tshow came under heavy pressure from Kabum. Jayce of the “Zantins” dominated the top route against the “Nyuzinho” Maokai: with a very large farm advantage he was in charge of Kabum’s offensives. Even with the team fights being better for Tshow, Zantins decides to do a split and takes an inhibitor alone. After that, the TSW tries to make a quick baron, but the KBM contests, Jayce shines again, gets a triple elimination and ensures victory for Kabum.
The top route continues to be Kabum’s stronghold, followed by the middle. “Zantins” continued to oppress the “Nyuzinho”, opening the farm a lot . But the team ends up raving, and in two attempts of dive they end up yielding many slaughters and the first tower for Tshow. Kabum is able to control the fights, the composition with 3 shooters does better, and manages to revert a gold difference of more than 3 thousand. The game remains very controlled, the difference of the gold only increases, and after realizing the Baron the Kabum fights and realizes an ACE, opening the base of the TSHOW and guaranteeing the victory.
Operation Kino VS INTZ
INTZ starts very aggressively, “Shini” with his Xin Zhao invades the enemy jungle and finds “Ferchu”. The hunter OPK tries to duel, but leaves in the worst, yielding the first slaughter. Even with the number of slaughters being always very close, INTZ does better rotations and converts to targets and towers. After trying a pickoff in the “Envy” on the middle route, the OPK has no resources to battle, loses two members and gives the baron. After that it was only the INTZ to make the siege on the lower route, eliminate much of Kino and close the first match with victory.
The OPK trades a sniper, in place of “Kalec” enters “Garotumb” betting on Kog’Maw as a hyper loader, but the changes were just these. “Shini” remains very aggressive with Xin Zhao, invading and denying much of the “Ferchu” farm. The OPK forces some fights and gets some killings, but a lot of resources is used for that, and INTZ takes advantage of the space to knock down towers and secure dragons.
The golden difference in favor of the intrepid is of 5 thousand to the 21 minutes and it only does not open more thanks to the split push of the “Aoshi” Fiora, that manages to guarantee some towers and slaughterings for the OPK, that tries to make a Baron, but are interrupted by a great ultimate from Ornn’s “Ayel”. INTZ does the Baron, and guarantees his victory.
