Nintendo Switch sales are well underway. So well, in fact, that Big N is considering doubling console production for the second time. Wall Street Journal data point to a 25-30 million-unit increase to be made in April next year – a number that could be much higher if year-end sales go up.

One of the main causes of an expressive rise in console sales was the extremely positive ratings of Super Mario Odyssey. The move to power the Switch production had already taken place at the end of October when Nintendo said it would produce 17 million units.

Apparently, however, the company is expecting sales to be even higher. So far the console has already recorded 7.63 million units sold in the period from March to the end of September.
