Gran Turismo Sport Will Receive Update Bringing Rain To The Tracks

Currently, only one track of Gran Turismo Sport supports the rainy weather: Northern Isle Speedway (which is not even a rain itself). Considering that the main competitors, Project Cars 2 and Forza Motorsport 7, have an excellent rain system (which is dynamic), Sony’s game is behind. However, it looks like the developer is aware of this and wants to fix the problem.

According to Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the series, all cars in the game were produced to work with rain physics mechanics (including animations to clean the windshield) and that more clues will be supported in the future. The data was revealed during an interview with the site GT Planet.

However, it’s good not to expect rain on all tracks. According to Yamauchi, some circuits, such as those that happen in deserts or in places with very low chances of rain. In fact, it makes sense, but we will have to see what the clues will be that will receive this support. Gran Turismo Sport was released exclusively to the PS4 in 2017.
