Responsible for the first steps of CD Projekt Red in the world of games, the first The Witcher is a game that has aged poorly in several senses – among them, the graphic. To show how the series has progressed over the years, YouTube user Erxv1 has released a small teaser of the original game remake project running on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt engine.
Available for download on the Nexus Mod site, the mod is compatible with The Witcher 3 and lets you play the entire prologue to Geralt’s first adventure in the world of games. In addition to bringing updated graphics, the modification also incorporates the interface and battle system used by the most recent chapter.
Mod managers have reused the voice work and script used by CD Projekt RED in their original work. There is only a certain oddity when we see in action some of the monsters that, although they were present in the original game, were never properly adapted for the sequences Assassin of Kings and Wild Hunt.
Unfortunately, the mod contains only the contents of the game prologue and is not a complete “recount” of your events. Although the first The Witcher is available for PC (at quite attractive prices in general), it is the result of a development studio that was still taking its first steps, resulting in mechanics that do not work so well at the present time.
