This Pokémon spin-off could be expected by the end of 2018.
A new record published in the North American classification system highlights the arrival of the game of Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Combination to western territory exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. The Pokémon spin-off arrived in Japan in 2016, and although there is still no official announcement about the game in Europe and America, the journalist Marcus Sellars divulges on Twitter the rumor that he would reach the end of 2018 in this part of the world .
Regardless of the videogame’s release, Detective Pikachu’s film is expected to hit theaters in May 2019. Actor Ryan Reynolds will lend his voice and performance to the charismatic yellow rodent, who in his 3DS counterpart would be a talkative partner stuck in a Sherlock Holmes hat with which we would have to collaborate to solve a case.
On the other hand, a Pokémon canonical RPG for Nintendo Switch is expected. It was announced last E3, and it is not yet clear if it will arrive in 2018 or beyond. A hypothetical Nintendo Direct scheduled for January 11 could get us out of doubt.
