Bohemia Interactive promises to expand and improve the game constantly.
It almost seems that even the team of Bohemia Interactive does not believe it, but it is! The long-awaited DayZ will abandon its game condition with PC Advance Access to debut, also with a version for consoles, throughout 2018.
“Make no mistake: this commitment is acquired taking into account all our previous programming errors,” said the producer of this survival adventure, Eugen Harton. “We’re serious.” DayZ is available on PC as Early Access since 2013; the intention of its creators was to release the game in consoles, under the same conditions, in 2015 but to date, never heard of this project.
Harton promises that 2018 will be “one of the most important years for DayZ”, but makes it clear that fans should not expect a “final version” to use. “DayZ in beta does not pretend to be a videogame with all its features in full from our point of view,” he adds. “It’s the beginning of a platform that will be expanded by ourselves, and we can expect it to be modified by the community,” he says in relation to the popular mods.
“When talking about platform, I refer to an ecosystem where we can continue to add things and build the DayZ community.” So far, he explains, they have focused on the playable foundations of the project and, with the beta, they will focus on polishing their action and adding content; “But until we reach version 1.0, we want to avoid expanding the scale of the game with additional features,” he concludes.
At the time confirmed only a version of DayZ for Xbox One, but it is possible that the game of Bohemia Interactive ended up premiering in other consoles.
